Be Strengthened In His Might For Life, Trials, and Spiritual Awakening

Being faithful to pray and share our concerns with God reveals a heart that’s in a posture of worship. Ignite spiritual transformation through prayer and meditation, asking for strength to endure anything in this life. Seek Divine wisdom to know how to use that strength and enrich your spiritual journey.

Bible Verses On Strength

God’s word is a “lamp unto our feet,” guiding us through each day, shining a light on the way we should go. There is so much strength and comfort we can gather from His words and promises.

...Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

Ephesians 6:10-11, ESV

I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Philippians 4:12-13, ESV

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10, ESV

Tap Into The Strength That Comes From The Divine

The meaningful habits of prayer and meditation continually remind us of our connection to the Divine. It focuses our thoughts and our emotions on truth, light, and the abundant grace of God. Lean into these practices and cultivate a spiritual strength that cannot be broken.

Christian Prayers For Strength: Be Bold In The Lord

Before you bow your head and your heart in prayer, spend a moment to cultivate an awareness of Spirit. Allow yourself to be open to hearing from God and be empowered by the Spirit. Pray for strength and be willing to let go of anything that may be holding you back from bold, confident action or patient waiting. With the Helper, you can do anything.

Prayer for Strength Through Trials and Temptations

Trials are going to come our way in the Christian life because we are a people set apart for God and His kingdom, and the darkness despises our faith, tempting us to ignore what we know. When trials and temptations come, we can have confidence that we can get through them, as 1 Corinthians promises,

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

1 Corinthians 10:13, ESV

Dear God, your word promises I will not be tempted beyond what I can manage, but my fear is distracting and my faith is weak. God, please grant me the strength to overcome this trial and ignore these temptations. Show me the way of escape through your strength and not my own. Amen.

Dear Jesus, you know what it's like to be tempted and yet you did not give in. Fill me with your Spirit to face trials and temptations without accepting defeat. In Jesus' name, amen.

Prayer For Strength and Endurance

One of the best Christian prayers for Strength is directly from the book of Isaiah. It’s both a reminder of where all true strength comes from and a promise of what’s in store for those who rely on God’s strength and not their own.

...The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:28-31, ESV

Heavenly Father, I know my own strength will ultimately fail me. My own willpower will dissolve and my desire to endure will collapse. I humbly ask for your strength and for your power to renew me. To increase my strength and endure whatever comes my way. Help me rely on you and not on my own abilities. Amen.

Prayer For Strength and Comfort

Grief, sadness, and loss can grip our hearts and drag us to despair. Pray for the strength to continue on in the face of these challenges and for comfort from the Chief Comforter.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…

Psalm 46:1-2a, ESV

Father God, I need you. My heart is broken and I don't know how to move forward through this challenge. You are my only source of strength. Please send your Holy Spirit to comfort me and my loved ones. Amen.

God, give me strength in this tribulation. I know you’re at work, help me to be strong and courageous by your Divine Power. May I be a light for you, O Lord. May you shine through me, though I am weak. Amen.

A Prayer For Strength and Wisdom

God isn’t in the business of leaving us to our own devices. He has provided both the way and means to face and overcome any situation. As John 14:26 says,

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

ESV

The popular Serenity Prayer is helpful when seeking God’s wisdom:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
