Christian Prayers For Wisdom and Guidance

Before entering into thoughtful prayer, take a deep breath and leave behind any pride or selfish ambition. Asking for Divine wisdom is asking to be filled with the Spirit and trusted with greater responsibility. Take a moment to cultivate an awareness of Spirit and attune your soul to hear from God.

Prayer for Wisdom and Clarity

God plays an active role in our spiritual lives. He wants us to take bold action and be fueled by His wisdom to walk in His ways. In Isaiah, we see evidence of that here, “…you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you… And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it…” (Isaiah 30:19b & 21, ESV)

Dear God, I’m feeling a lot of confusion right now. Please grant me the wisdom and clarity to make wise decisions. Help me see beyond my own limitations. Eliminate the fog of indecision and fear, and give me the confidence to follow through. Amen.

Heavenly Father, renew my mind to be in tune with your Spirit. Guide my steps toward your will and grant me peace as I move closer to it. Your ways are perfect, God. Help me see them more clearly. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Praying for Godly Wisdom
